TAPANILA, MR. AL R. Muskegon, MI Mr. Al R. Tapanila, age 69, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003. He was born in Muskegon, MI on October 7, 1933 to Avald & Iley Springstead Tapanila & married the former Alice Mitchell on April 30, 1955. Mr. Tapanila had been employed at S.D. Warren for 35 years until retiring in 1993. He was a member of the V.F.W. & enjoyed fishing, gardening, music & his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Alice; 1 son, Scott Paula Tapanila of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Dawn Tisch & Crystal Tapanila, both of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry in 1983. SERVICE Monday, January 13, 2003, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. John Brown officiating. There will be no visitation.
