Marilyn Emens

Mrs. Marilyn Kaye Emens, age 83, died Thursday, December 22, 2011. She was born in Spring Lake, MI on October 5, 1928 to Claude E. & Elizabeth "Betty" (Merz) Voss & married Charles "Chuck" Emens on June 25, 1955. Marilyn graduated from WMU with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Throughout the years Marilyn never lost her passion for teaching & helping children. She was a teacher at Grand Haven Elementary Schools for over 40 years until she retired. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Grand Haven. Marilyn enjoyed living near Lake Michigan, and spending time with her family on the beach. SURVIVORS 1 son, Bruce (Anita) Emens of Grand Haven; 1 daughter, Laura Jacoby of White Lake; 2 grandchildren, Amber & Eric Emens & 1 sister, Patricia McGinity of OH. She was preceded in death by her parents & husband, Charles Emens on August 29, 2011. SERVICE There will be no services. MEMORIALS: Harbor Humane Society.
