Pratt, Mrs Judith Marie Muskegon, Michigan Mrs Judith Marie Pratt, age 74, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020. She was born in Muskegon, MI on August 2, 1945 to Frank & Elizabeth (Barchak) Sipos and married Larry Pratt on January 25, 1964. Judie was a graduate of Muskegon High School and along with her husband owned and operated the Lemonade Stand of Muskegon which is a program that has existed for over 20 years designed to be a welcoming environment for individuals who may be struggling; a place where friends help friends. Judie liked to read and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Maribeth (Steve) Clarke , Rebecca (Wally) Gunderson; 3 Grandchildren, Steven (Brittany) Clarke, Jordan(Jessica) Clarke, Noah Cutler; 3 great grandchildren, Landon, Kolton special cousin, Toni Barchak; 2 sister-in-laws, Betty Pratt & Dorie Cvengros. This a Resolution given to Judie for her years of service to the Community Resolution HEALTHWEST BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESOLUTION #091 RESOLUTION TO COMMEND JUDIE PRATT'S CONTRIBUTION TO IMPROVING THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS IN MUSKEGON COUNTY At a regular meeting of the HealthWest Board of Directors, held at 376 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI on the 28th day of February 2020 at 8:00 am, local time, the following resolution was adopted, WHEREAS, knowing that all individuals, including those with mental illness substance use concerns, developmental disabilities or struggling with homelessness have better health outcomes when in a loving and supportive environment; and WHEREAS, Judie Pratt recognized this and began volunteering 35 years ago where She assisted people at the Day Treatment Program here in Muskegon; and WHEREAS, Judie Pratt went on to open the Lemonade Standi a clubhouse model program, for individuals with mental illness and/or who homeless; and WHEREAS many hundreds Of Muskegon County residents have traveled through the doors of the Lemonade Stand and found safe haven, friends and acceptance thus changing countless lives in a positive way, while also reducing stigma against those with mental illness, and in doing so changed our community; and WHEREAS the Lemonade Stand now celebrates its 21st year; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; that the HealthWest Board of Directors in a small token of appreciation do hereby recognize and thank Judie Pratt For her dedication and commitment to assisting and making better the lives Of Muskegon County residents Via the volunteer and peet run Lemonade Stand+ We also thank her for her selfless commitment to upholding the understanding that all people benefit from loving-kindness acceptance and a place to call home, like the Lernornde Stand.
