Irene Sweet

Mrs. Irene Mae Sweet, age 90, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She was born in Muskegon, MI on August 9, 1922 to Floyd & Goldie (Cole) Gardner. Mrs. Sweet had been employed as a clerk at Sears and Roebuck until retiring and was a member of Berean Church. She volunteered for Love INC and enjoyed crossword puzzles. But foremost was always her family. SURVIVORS Son, Paul (Kathy) Sweet of Hudsonville; daughters, Wendy Matheny of Muskegon, Margaret Sweet of Sparta; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert Sweet; her daughter, Dorothy Gutierrez; sisters, Marian Wolf, Edythe McClain and Francis Corgan.
