Dorothy Coates

Mrs. Dorothy I. Coates, age 90, passed away Saturday evening on June 2, 2007. She was born on August 3, 1916 to Frank and Myrtle Durphey in Newaygo County, MI. Mrs. Coates was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was involved with Friends of the Library in Fruitport and Public Elections. On May 4, 1936 she married Lloyd Coates, who passed away on October 2, 1994. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Judith (Lester) Price of Muskegon, Elaine (John) Wenglarski of Lansing, David (Jeannine) Coates of Muskegon, and Les (Cheryl) Coates of Canton, MI.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Trinity Baptist Church (4381 S. Sheridan Rd.) MEMORIALS to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
