It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Joseph Abrahamson.

Don fought hard for over 30 years dealing with many serious health conditions.

Donald Joseph Abrahamson, age 60, passed away at his residence, on Thursday May 8, 2025. He was born on September 30, 1964, to the late Daniel Abrahamson and Linda Cass, in Worcester, MA.

Don Grew up in New Hampshire. After graduating from Merrimack Valley High School in 1982, he joined the Army National Guard of New Hampshire, serving until February 1, 1988. In the early 90's Don moved from New Hampshire to Michigan where he met his wife Lisa of nearly 29 years. They married June 22, 1996. Together they raised 2 sons.

Don was a wood worker/carpenter by trade. After health issues he was no longer able to work and became a stay at home dad. Don loved the outdoors. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting and taking walks (especially if it was for scouting or looking for morels). You could always find him tinkering on just about anything in his Man-Shed. There was really nothing he could not build or fix. Don was also a member of the Fox Lake Gun Club. He enjoyed participating in shooting completions', playing cards and cribbage.

Don is survived by: His wife Lisa Abrahamson, sons Nicholas (Rachel) Abrahamson, Nathan (Kassandra) Abrahamson, Granddaughter Adrian Abrahamson, Grandson Jackson Abrahamson. His Mother Linda Cass, Sisters Becky (Kevin) Tanguay, Julie (Scott) Calley, Brothers Jeff (Maundey) Abrahamson, Ed (Abbey) Dame, Daniel Abrahamson, Brother-in-law John (Jamie) Horn, and many nieces and nephews. Extended Family Carlena, Ben, Christopher and Maya Garcia and Scott Tariske.

He is preceded in death by his Father Daniel Abrahamson and Step-father Steve Cass and both sets of grandparents.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 14 th at Discovering Christ Church. 2330 Holton Rd, Muskegon MI 49445. A short Service at 11a and a visitation from 12p - 2p

Don is gone from our sight, but never ever from our hearts.
